New York Street Retreat

September 22 – 25, 2011

A street retreat is a plunge into the unknown. An opportunity to go
beyond our imagined limits. A chance to see beyond our small selves,
to begin to eliminate the barriers. It's the barest poke at

Our group will be together almost all of the time, breaking into packs
for short times during the day and always secured by buddies. We will
meet twice a day for meditation, liturgy, and council.

Partial time participation is not an option. You can only join for the
entire retreat.

We will meet at Washington Square Park, on Thursday September 22nd at
3:00PM.  The retreat will end on Sunday the 25th by noon.

The retreat will be led by Roshi Grover Genro Gauntt, of the Hudson River Zen Center, the Peacemaker Institute and the Zen Peacemakers.
